HARSH NARAYAN

fOUNDER & Chairman

SAFACH is the brainchild of Harsh Narayan, an alumnus of IIM- Calcutta, MICA-Ahmedabad & NIFT- Delhi. He is a Creative Director & Filmmaker, and Founder of the New Delhi based creative production company Dragons Lab Pvt. Ltd. & Creative Marketplace 'Indus Valley Digital', and has earned more than 15 years’ experience in Media & Arts Management. He has been mentored in creativity by the veteran filmmaker Shri Shyam Benegal for more than a decade.

Also studied at Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) Pune, Harsh qualified from NFDC Director’s Lab as a budding Filmmaker. He has directed Documentary films, Music videos, Audio Documentaries, Animation Films, Mega National TV shows. Currently, Harsh is developing full length Hindi Feature film projects.

Harsh has been Creative & Series Director of first ever National Reality show on classical music on Television for Doordarshan National Network: Naad Bhed, hosted by eminent Shabana Azmi, with judges being Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Hari Prasad Chaurasia, Begum Parveen Sultana, Girija Devi, etc.

Harsh has been Director of Animation & Visual Effects for Rahul Roy Productions; conceived Documentary film for Star Network, Multimedia campaigns for Environment Ministry, Govt. of India; Directed first ever music video shot inside a prison- Tihar Jail for Times Music; plans to launch his own filmy Fashion Label titled: Fashion Filmistan!

Harsh has been Head of Animation & Multimedia lab at IIIL– University of Delhi; and has created Multimedia E-learning modules for Digital courseware of the University.

Harsh also has deep interest in shared & composite Heritage of South Asia; and conducts collaborative Peace projects through the works of Art & Creativity for the youth of South Asian nations. He has hosted students & artists from across South Asia in India for the past 15 years & conducted joint workshops on different forms of creative arts with Indian students under eminent artistes. Harsh is Founder & Creative Director of 'South Asia Forum for Art & Creative Heritage (SAFACH)'.

Harsh has also been Creative Director & Curator of many International Film Festivals, and collaborated with top filmmakers- Directors, Producers & Actors like Vishal Bhardwaj, SS Rajamouli, R Balki, Rajat Kapoor Subhash Kapoor, Nandita Das, Vinay Pathak, to name a few. He has also curated some of the best films made in India in recent past for screening.

Harsh is currently building his latest venture - a Tech based Creative Marketplace 'Indus Valley Digital', and also developing his next Hindi Feature Film project.

CHARU SANAN

Co-FOUNDER

A graduate from I.T.College, Lucknow University, Charu Sanan took an Acting course from FTII, Pune (under SKIFT) and a Diploma in acting from Moonlight Films and Theatre Studio, New Delhi. She attended a 3-month diploma course in film making from the Institute of Moving Images, Pune, that culminated in a 23 minutes short diploma film. She has also undertaken a Film Appreciation course conducted by NFAI, FTII Pune and DFF under SKIFT. Charu also trained in Kathak under Guru Parween Gangani.

Her Acting Profile ranges from Asmita Theatre Group, New Delhi where she is associated as an actress since 2016; several nukkad nataks, stage productions of ‘Darogaji’ and ‘Nairashya’ of Munshi Premchand; to Living Room Theatre, with which she is associated as an actress since 2017. In addition, Charu has also acted in stage productions ‘Mat Todo Ye Vadi’ and ‘Missing Akbar’ that were staged at Kasauli Club (Kasauli), Gaiety Theatre (Shimla), Delhi Golf Club, India International Centre and Civil Services Officers Institute (New Delhi). Charu has also acted in few short films, few of which are currently under production.
